What is ImmiAccount?

ImmiAccount is an online portal by the Australian Department of Home Affairs for managing visa applications, uploading documents, paying fees, and more.

How to Create an ImmiAccount

  1. Visit the ImmiAccount Registration Page:
  1. Choose Account Type:
  • For Individuals: Select ‘Individual’.
  • For Organisations: Select ‘Organisation’.
  1. For Individuals:
  • Fill in your details (name, number, email address).
  • Create account details (username, password, secret questions, security alerts).
  • Click “Submit”.
  1. For Organisations:
  • Select the required services (e.g., Online Lodgement, Organisation Account Administration).
  • Enter your user details.
  • Enter account details.
  • Submit and wait for approval from an Organisation Account Administrator (OAA).
  1. Complete Verification:
  • Provide personal details and create a password.
  • Agree to terms and conditions.
  • Verify your email address through a confirmation email.
  • Log in to your new ImmiAccount.

What Can You Do with ImmiAccount?

  1. Complete and Submit Visa Applications:
    • Apply for various types of visas, including visitor, student, skilled, and partner visas.
  2. Upload Supporting Documents:
    • Securely upload necessary documents like passports, financial statements, and reference letters.
  3. Pay Fees:
    • Pay visa application fees and charges online via credit card or electronic transfer.
  4. Manage Application Status:
    • Track your application progress, receive updates, and respond to requests from the Department of Home Affairs.
  5. Communicate with the Department:
    • Send and receive messages regarding your visa application.
  6. Access Visa Grant Letters:
    • View and download your visa grant letter and review visa conditions.
  7. Update Personal Details:
    • Change your address, email, or password through ImmiAccount.

Managing Your ImmiAccount

  • Change Password:
    • Log in, go to ‘Manage Account’, select the ‘Password’ tab, enter your existing and new passwords, and click ‘Save’.
  • Change Email Address:
    • Log in, go to ‘Manage Account’, select ‘Account Details’, submit the new email address, and click ‘Save’.
  • Update Secret Questions:
    • Log in, go to ‘Manage Account’, select ‘Secret Questions’, enter your password and new questions/answers, and click ‘Save’.
  • Forgot Username/Password:
    • Go to ImmiAccount, click ‘I have forgotten my ImmiAccount username’, enter your email address, and follow the instructions in the email.
